WHY DO PRESIDENTS ACT LIKE FOOLS?

6/1/2019

I am often asked why overtly smart men and women come out with insane ideas at times, leaving normal people shaking their heads? The answer lies in what they know or is perceived to know. The top people in any country have access to secrets, intelligence and classified information that you probably don’t have. That is why every president-elect is briefed by the IC, Intelligence Community and let into the club. As an idea, it is good as long as that they are told the truth without hidden agendas. That is what you expect and what they claim but truth to be told, no, they lie more than what they tell the truth. There are countless examples in history. In January 2018, CIA Director Pompeo, before being promoted to Secretary of State, way above his abilities, gave an interview to a BBC journalist. He said many things, starting off by stating that: “I don’t do fine lines. I do the truth” when asked about briefing President Trump and I assume, whoever else he briefs. Pompeo did add a caveat, “the truth as he understands it.” And that is the problem, you don’t always know what they “understand.” In Code Name GSSP-40 I called him delusional for saying that the CIA “the world’s finest espionage service.” Not even close, and in my eyes a joke that should be disbanded. Since the 1990s they cannot, by their own admission, research this, find top quality men and women, the mediocre took over as the best left or retired in disgust from Agency. But they do hold power, lots of power, because they advise powerful leaders and they abuse that power. “Fundamentally, the founding fathers of US intelligence were liars. The better you lied and the more you betrayed, the more likely you would be promoted... Outside of their duplicity, the only thing they had in common was desire for absolute power.” James Jesus Angleton, chief of CIA Counterintelligence from 1954 to 1975. “I have got to do something about those CIA bastards!” President John F Kennedy after Bay of Pigs fiasco. “Those bastards in Langley are holding back something. They just dig their heals in and say the President can’t have it. Period. Imagine that. The Commander-in-Chief wants to see a document and the spooks say he can’t have it…” John Daniel Ehrlichman, counsel and Assistant to the President for Domestic Affairs under President Richard Nixon. Trustworthy people? Nope, scoundrels the higher they rise in the ranks and realise that they are Deep State and they CAN influence history to their own agendas. They cannot even be cross-checked or called out because everything is classified “Top Secret” and revealing anything is against “national security interests.” And so they explain what they think they know. Not lying outright at times but omitting to say that they are not sure or that the intelligence is not verified etc. The next thing you see is a president and other senior members of Government looking like fools having attacked countries, bombed civilians and started wars. And you cannot understand why the man you voted in can be that stupid... now you know, Deep State got him. He cannot even fight back properly because we all know that US Intelligence Community members, as with their real master, the Pope – yes, read Code Name Mélisse – it is scandalous, are infallible. You attack them and you are “unpatriotic.” I will leave you with this quote made in January 2017: “Let me tell you: You take on the intelligence community - they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you. So, even for a practical supposedly hard-nosed businessman, he's being really dumb to do this.” Demorat Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer on MSNBC to Rachel Maddow when it was felt that Donald J Trump is a cynic. Since then we saw him being played more than once, it is in my Intelligence Briefing. I feel sorry for Mr Trump, he is treated like a mushroom, left in the dark and fed “you know what.” The consequences though might lead to millions of dead. They are a disgrace to honour, their country and their oath. GMJ
