Less than two weeks after Donald J Trump announced that US troops were leaving Syria to avoid clashing with fellow NATO member, Turkey, and the US Congress went insane in their condemnations the truth came out: “US Secretary of Defense Mark Esper said at a press conference on Monday that American mechanized forces have already deployed to protect oil fields in eastern Syria. The mission, on its surface, aims to keep these oil fields in the hands of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces, Washington’s former allies in the fight against IS. The American troops, he said, will “respond with overwhelming military force against any group who threatens the safety of our forces there.” When asked whether the US would potentially respond with force against Russian or Syrian forces, Esper simply responded “yes.” (Copyright to RT.com.)
Okay, let us look at this latest idiocy conducted as usual in the name of democracy.
In the first place, the US is illegally in Syria under international law and acting like a rogue state. Whilst you have the right to conduct hot pursuits you have no right to invade another country and then stay on unless authorised by a UN Mandate or an act of war was committed against you. And even then you are supposed to go home afterwards. Of course, empires are not built like that, they stay on, as we see in Europe with US Forces in Germany since 1945 and absolutely no intention of leaving despite NATO having no claim to existence since 1992. For those not knowing, hot pursuit is where an attack takes place on your soil and the terrorists then run/flee across the border to safety – you may chase them down but as said, this is limited in scope and duration. No such thing took place in Syria and according to Donald J Trump ISIS is defeated 100% by US Forces alone (yeah, dream on). But having said that, then it boggles the mind on why US Forces (and by this I mean whatever foreign uninvited forces are there, UK, France, Australia, whosoever) are still there. There is no legal justification to stay on. What you see here is nothing but state sponsored terrorism against another country and most certainly to protect Israel. In a world where justice is dispensed evenly, the US Coalition leaders will be hung as war criminals based on the Nuremberg Principles. Of course, this will never happen, which again shows rogue state/regime behaviour.
Secondly, the arrogance of the US is mind blowing in stating that they will “respond with overwhelming military force against any group who threatens the safety of our forces there including Syria and or Russia.” According to international law and treaties, Syrian forces have every right to chase the US Coalition out and if they don’t go by themselves, to kill them. And if you think they cannot be killed, think again and perhaps wake up to something called logistics. To support your forces you need to resupply them constantly. Armour, which apparently is being deployed, needs more supplies than anything else on the battlefield. They are dreadful things – see Code Name Devorah and Code Name One Alpha where I dealt with armour operations – with many weaknesses to be exploited if not combined with air power and infantry. In short, as we saw with the Israeli defeat, yes, defeat, see Code Name Swan 53, in Lebanon, tanks alone are extremely vulnerable.
Thirdly, you need air superiority to win a modern war and certainly you cannot resupply your own without it. This is something that US Forces just don’t have in Syria. Why not, the Russians are there with the most advanced SAM systems in the world – the S-400. If interested, read Code Name Ndebele 14 where I looked at the forerunner of the S-400 system. We know, these are facts, that ¾ of the US, French (they missed their firing sequence) and UK’s missile strike on Syria in 2017 and 2018 for false flag “Sarin/nerve gas” attacks were either shot down or jammed out of control. ONLY those that were launched at undefended areas got through and did nothing spectacular or useful – see Intelligence Briefing & American Military Might – Debunked. And that was against the older Syrian SAM systems. The USAF and others are flying ONLY where the Russians allow them to fly. Remember that and wake up to facts. If the Russians for some reason deny the airspace the US and mates will have to fight for access and they will be shot down in numbers. The F-22 and F-35 are not stealthy, wake up to that too, Mr Secretary. Last year a German radar company, Hensoldt proved to have tracked two F-35s for 150 kilometres following the April 2018 Berlin Air Show in Germany. In many books, Code Name Lucy comes to mind, I flatly told you that the F-35 can be tracked by Chinese flat array radar at great distances. If it can be tracked, it can be shot down. Remember that, and that you have the worst ejection seats of all airframes flying.
Your arrogance is so great that you think, no you ASSUME, that no one will challenge you because you are Americans. Wake up to the fact that the world is fed-up with your “exceptionalism” and see you as a greater threat to peace than either China or Russia (from a German/French poll). Your attitude reminds me of the Vietnam War where your primary fighter, the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom went to war without an internal gun because you ASSUMED that your air-to-air missiles will defeat the enemy. Ahem, nope, they failed 92% of the time used. A most pathetic record. You then had to post haste fit an internal 20mm gun. You then did the same, made the same mistake with the F-35, initially without an internal gun because BVR (Beyond Visual Range) missiles will make it unnecessary. Yes, and then it came out that a 20-year-old F-16 defeated the F-35 numerous times in dogfights. What is worse is that you don't have overwhelming forces in that theatre and everyone knows it.
I deal with worst case scenarios, not assumptions, as should your mediocre generals. Tell me, what will happen if your BVR Assumption fails as it will and your F-35 faces a much more agile enemy fighter in a dogfight? What if that enemy fighter pilot flies more hours in a month than what you can do in a year? What if that enemy airframe has better air-to-air missiles than you as well as a heavier gun? You will be humiliated, that is the answer, and your men/woman will die because of your arrogance/exceptionalism. Now imagine what happens when your pitiful forces stealing another country’s oil to support terrorists that attacked the US on 9/11 are surrounded, denied air support, and facing humiliation or annihilation. What then? What will you do then? Tell me. Where does this end? My word, you are beyond stupid. Do you really want to risk a military confrontation with Russia (and China, they are very close, wake up to reality) to support what cannot be justified in law? What the hell is wrong with you these days?
